Who are we?

We’ve been helping you discover our region for 10 years now. But do you really know Tasty Lyon and its team?

We’ll tell you all about it!

Origins

Tasty Lyon is the story of how Wladimir and Virginie met. He drives, she guides and together they have travelled the world with their French customers. They’re a great team, both at work and in the city!

Virginie et Wladimir

On the strength of our experience, we decided to settle in our native region: each with his own structure to continue working together. Success came quickly, and after a few months of training to obtain the missing administrative approvals and validations, we were off on this great adventure!

In February 2014, we combined our activities and created Tasty Lyon, our small chauffeur-guide company, which has now become big!

A company on the move

Right from the start of our adventure, we wanted to welcome foreign visitors to our region, after having driven and guided French people abroad! So we developed wine tours, mainly in the Beaujolais, and gourmet visits to the Halles Paul Bocuse.

The success of these tours led us to broaden our scope, develop new offers and diversify our customer base, so that our range now extends from Beaune to Tain l’Hermitage, from Roanne to Annecy, and of course including Lyon.

We work with foreign tourists from all over the world, as well as with French companies and schools, to whom we can offer excursions and visits, as well as a wide range of fun and collaborative activities.

So after developing our wine and food tours, we’ve become real creators of original experiences.

Our values

For 10 years now, we’ve been taking you on the roads of Beaujolais, Burgundy and the Rhône Valley, 10 years of helping you discover and taste the best of Lyon, 10 years of scouring our region in search of the best partners…. The years have gone by, the company has evolved, like a family that’s growing little by little… and yet our values are still the same: sharing, conviviality and authenticity.

We have been committed to sustainable and responsible tourism for many years, and today we see ourselves as local ambassadors….

The world will not die for lack of wonders but for lack of wonder

If I were a time of day?

I would be the morning, the moment when everything wakes up.

If I were a drink?

I’d be a Côte-Rôtie.

If I were one of the 5 senses?

I would be the sense of smell.

If I were a famous person (real or fictional)?

I would be Antoine de St-Exupéry, dreamy and discreet.

If I were a song?

I’d be Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody, the most beautiful song of all time for me, condensing several genres into one song.

If I were a motto / an expression?

“The world will not die for lack of wonders but for lack of wonder”.

If I were a time of day?

I’ll be at the Friday evening aperitif, because I love the prospect of the weekend (when it’s not in season!).

If I were a drink?

I’d be a big glass of Condrieu at 10 degrees, because it’s delicious when it’s at the right temperature, but not so good when it’s hot.

If I were one of the 5 senses?

I would be the ear, because life without music is too sad.

If I were a famous person (real or fictional)?

I’d be Inspector Gadget, because I can adapt to any situation.

If I were a song?

I’d be Roger Glover’s “Love is all”, because if you love your neighbour like you love your brother, the world will be a better place!

If I were a motto / an expression?

“It’s not the clothes that make the man”, because I try not to be blinded by my prejudices (and the complexity of the world is far more interesting and exciting than the ease of fitting everything into standardised boxes!)

If I were a motto / an expression?

“Liberté, égalité, saucisson brioché! Seen at Tribu des Gones on rue Saint Jean, it sums up Lyon perfectly.
