To start the day, you will be in the charming medieval village of Oingt in the south of Beaujolais. Listed as one of The Prettiest Villages of France, this golden stone village is the perfect place to learn about the history and geology of this region. Tour will continue with a visit to a family-run winery in the Beaujolais Villages appellation, birthplace of the Beaujolais Nouveau. You will meet the winemaker who will tell you everything about his work and treat you to a tasting of his wines.
On the advice of your guide you will be able to have lunch in one of the many traditional restaurants of the region. You will have a large choice of regional specialities that you can pair with the regional wines to keep discovering new flavors.
You will then take the beautiful wine route which will offer you stunning sceneries. The opportunity to discover the unique geology of this region. You will visit a second winery, in the Crus region this time. You will be able to enjoy the aromatic richness of these appellations: Fleurie, Moulin à Vent, Morgon, Juliénas…Certain estates produce a wide selection of appellations that allows you to discover the vineyards in all their complexity. Finally you will drive even further north, where, again, you will be surprised by the complex aromatic palette of this region.
