Leaving from Lyon we will head up North, to Beaujolais Wine Route. Your first stopover will be in one of the famous crus villages : Fleurie, Julienas, Chiroubles where you will meet a winemaker who will tell you all about his work and show you his estate before welcoming you in the wine-cellar for a tasting. You will discover all the richness of the aromatic Gamay !
Free time for lunch in Mâcon
We will then head up North to join the southern Burgundy, to the Pierreclos Castle. At first, a historical and cultural visit will allow you to discover this historical monument. The faithful renovation of the castle transcribes with talent the atmosphere of the fifteenth century. At the end of the visit, you will taste some wines of this vineyard engaged in organic farming. Its 8 hectares of vines produce an excellent Pouilly-Fuissé and Burgundy Pinot Noir.
On the way, you will pass to the mythical Roche de Solutré. Then, you can observe this unique limestone escarpment, highly publicized in the 80s by the ritual rise of President François Mitterrand. These amazing sceneries show you the unique match of stone and vines. Our route will take us to another estate, where you will complete your knowledge in Gamay and Chardonnay vines thanks to the last tasting of that complete day.
