Our CSR Policy

Tasty Lyon, a tourism agency based in the Beaujolais Vert region

We offer wine tours in the Beaujolais, Burgundy, Mâconnais, and Rhône Valley regions, as well as gourmet and guided tours in Lyon and fun rally events for companies.

Notre mission

Share our expertise and the richness of the Lyonnais terroir and gastronomy.

By working mainly with independent winemakers and local merchants and highlighting local products, we support the local economy while showcasing the wine and gastronomic heritage of our region.

Commitment to the Local Economy

Since our company’s inception, we have aimed to support and promote the local economy by prioritizing partnerships with regional providers. Our tours are built around a strong commitment to local stakeholders and short supply chains, notably by collaborating with independent winemakers in the area. By integrating these partners into our itineraries, we offer them an additional opportunity to showcase their work and generate supplementary income.

This commitment reflects our desire to build strong and lasting relationships with trusted partners whose professionalism and hospitality are unparalleled.

Whether for insurance, banking services, or vehicle maintenance, we prefer human contact with nearby companies over fully digital solutions.

We also make courtesy visits during the low season to thank our partners and prepare for the next season. Some of these winemakers have been with us since the company’s founding, and it is partly thanks to them that we can continue our tours today.

Our local roots extend beyond our partnerships…

Our local roots extend beyond our partnerships: we also aim to build a team that is predominantly from the region. This geographic proximity ensures not only employees who are familiar with the territory and its clientele but also strengthens our local integration, contributing to the economic and social vitality of our region.

Tourisme Responsable

et

Expériences authentiques

Expériences Authentiques

Our tours are designed to introduce clients to authentic local products born from the passion and expertise of our producers, steering clear of traditional tourist circuits. For us, the client should experience something unique and genuine, centered on connection and exchange.

Responsible Tourism

and

Authentic Experiences

By prioritizing lesser-known locations and off-the-beaten-path itineraries, we allow everyone to immerse themselves in local culture, better understand our region, and actively participate in its preservation. This balance is essential to maintaining harmony between regular visits and the tranquility of these places, preserving their authenticity.

Thus, our tours are designed to respect both the natural environment and the local economy, promoting proximity-based, high-quality tourism.

Our Actions to Reduce Our Environmental Footprint

To minimize our environmental impact, we have implemented several initiatives:

Recycling in the Office

We have implemented selective waste sorting for office waste.

Eco-Driving Training

Our drivers are trained in eco-driving practices to reduce fuel consumption.

Reducing Paper Usage

We have ceased unnecessary printing in our offices and include a note in every email signature encouraging recipients to consider the environment before printing.

Eliminating Goodies

We do not distribute promotional items to clients. Most of these items are made of plastic and often end up as unused waste. Instead, we prefer more responsible alternatives that limit single-use products and reduce our environmental impact.

Reducing Plastic Use

We do not provide disposable water bottles to clients, encouraging them to bring their own bottles or reusable flasks, which we can refill free of charge at our partners’ establishments throughout the tour. We also benefit from Lyon's "gourde friendly" program for our walking and food tours. While foreign visitors may not always be accustomed to this practice, they often find it interesting when explained and sometimes purchase a local flask as a souvenir. Our vehicles are no longer equipped with refrigerators.

Improvements and Limitations

We are fully aware of the challenges and environmental impacts of our activity, and we acknowledge that there is still room for improvement. Currently, about 95% of our clientele is international, which often involves air travel to France. Additionally, our wine tours are conducted in diesel-powered vehicles, contributing to CO2 emissions.

With guided tours running seven days a week during the season, we also recognize that the frequency of our visits may affect certain tourist sites. However, we are committed to minimizing these impacts by actively exploring more environmentally friendly solutions and adjusting our practices to protect the natural and cultural heritage we cherish.

Commitment and Monitoring

To strengthen our commitment, we have appointed a CSR representative within our team, specifically trained to lead our sustainable development initiatives. This individual regularly participates in meetings and workshops, ensuring they stay informed about best practices and developments in the field.

We refuse to remain passive in the face of societal and environmental challenges and aim to take proactive, concrete actions that positively contribute to the environment.
