The program

You and your friends and family will embark on a three-hour gastronomy tour around the World Capital of Gastronomy, that Lyon is.

This tour takes you into the heart of historic Lyon, hidden passageways and iconic Paul Bocuse Covered Market. No more compromise between history and gatsronomy...

Once our experienced food expert guide has met yin front of Saint-Jean Cathedral, you will start your discovery of Old Lyon. In this vibrant Renaissance district, you will feel like you travelled to Italy. Whilst strolling in the picturesque streets bustling with life and history, you will be offered several traditional food samples from the colourful pink praline brioche, delicious local pastry, to the unique Coussin de Lyon (Lyonnaise Cushions). Leaving the Old Town you will make your way to the famous Paul Bocuse Covered Market by first crossing the Saône River.

After crossing the river, you will then explore the Presqu’île district, discovering amazing monuments, statues, and fountains along the way. You will be offered to taste the iconic French macaroon made by a famous lyonnaise pastry chef.

With the bus will then head to the Paul Bocuse covered market, “the belly of Lyon” as the lyonnaise like to call it. Your passionate guide will treat you to the best anecdotes, stories and recipes that made Lyon the foodies’ paradise that it is today, from the legendary Lyonnaise Mothers to the world-famous Paul Bocuse. While discovering all about the local food culture, you will be introduced to a variety of local specialties. You will be offered to taste the very lyonnaise quenelle, a selection of delicious cured meats (charcuterie) and cheeses paired with the local wines and some other delicious treats…

Once our experienced guide concludes the tour, you will leave with a stomach full of traditional food, knowledge of the local culture and sightseeing tips.

This tour will connect you to the Lyon on a personal level - tasting and learning about the food that the Lyonnais themselves enjoy every week.
